Back to the topThe Pine Valley Fire District, located in the mountains of Eastern San Diego County about 45 miles east of the city of San Diego. The District covers 75 square miles serving a population of over 2200 in the Unincorporated communities of Pine Valley and Guatay, Buckman Springs, Corte Madera and La Posta. ![]() Business is conducted from station 44, located at 28850 Old Hwy 80 in Pine Valley. The station includes a classroom to seat 20, two offices, sleeping quarters for four, One type 1 engine, a type 2 engine, a type 3 Bush engine, one Water Tender, one light Rescue unit, and a Chiefs Admin vehicle. The station also houses the San Diego County Sheriffs Sub Station. ![]() The District provides structural and wildland fire protection, fire prevention and inspection services, as well as rescue medical services. All district Firefighters are EMT/DC and ALS services are provided by AMR with ambulances in Alpine and Campo. ![]() Weekly trainings are held on Thursday nights which all firefighters attend when available. ISO rating of 5 for structures within the Pine Valley Water District 9 in all other areas. Dispatch services are contracted through the Monte Vista Cal Fire Dispatch. Water is supplied by the Pine Valley Mutual Water Company with storage over 2.5 million gallons, hydrants spaced every 500' and a flow from each hydrant from 1000-1500 gallons per minute. ![]() |
